Canadian Grand Prix
Circuit Gilles Villeneuve · 2011
Button from DEAD LAST to winning on the FINAL LAP. He hit his teammate, got a penalty, sat in the garage for two hours during the red flag, and STILL won. Vettel had it locked up, absolutely cruising in the lead, and then made one little mistake on the last lap on a damp patch. Button was right there. Full send into the lead. The longest race in F1 history and worth every single second. I could watch this race a hundred times.
Brazilian Grand Prix
Autódromo José Carlos Pace · 2012
Vettel SPUN on LAP 1. He was basically last. Alonso must have been thinking the title was his. Then over the next 70 laps, Vettel charged back through the entire field in a car with actual damage, in rain that kept changing intensity. Hulkenberg was leading and then binned it. Hamilton got taken out. Button won. And Vettel finished sixth, which was enough to become a three-time world champion at age 25. If you wrote this as a screenplay people would say it was unrealistic.
Italian Grand Prix
Autodromo Nazionale di Monza · 2020
GASLY WON AT MONZA. In an AlphaTauri. A year after being demoted. That's it. That's the review.
Belgian Grand Prix
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps · 2021
I love Spa. It's my favorite circuit. So watching it host the worst event in F1 history was brutal. The rain was too heavy to race in – fine, safety matters. But instead of just cancelling and giving fans refunds, F1 did two laps behind the safety car so they could technically classify it as a race and hand out half points. The fans in the grandstands were soaked, cold, and furious. Verstappen himself said they should have just called it off. When even the winner thinks it shouldn't have happened, you know it was wrong.
São Paulo Grand Prix
Autódromo José Carlos Pace · 2025
Norris was absolutely flawless all weekend, pole for both sessions, won the sprint and the race. But the real story is Verstappen starting from the pit lane after Red Bull changed his entire power unit and still finishing on the podium. He even led the race during the pit stop windows. The man is a machine. Piastri locking up into Antonelli and taking out Leclerc was ugly though. Interlagos delivering as always.
